1. What is the price of the Snapmaker U1?
• The Snapmaker U1 Early Bird price is $749, and if you place a $30 deposit before the campaign, you’ll receive a $100 refund after your order ships, bringing your final price to $679.
• Early Bird slots are limited and offered on a first-come, first-served basis, but there will be plenty available, so you’ll have a good chance to secure one. Pricing for other tiers beyond the Early Bird will be announced when the campaign launches.
2. Can I see the price in currencies other than USD?
Yes. While all prices are initially displayed in USD, you’ll be able to switch to your local currency when the Kickstarter campaign goes live. The final amount will be automatically calculated based on Kickstarter’s exchange rates for your region.
3. Does the Early Bird price include shipping and taxes?
Shipping and taxes are not included in the listed prices. Details will be announced when the Kickstarter campaign goes live.
4. When will Snapmaker U1 go live on Kickstarter?
The Kickstarter campaign is expected to launch in late August. Subscribe to our newsletter or follow us on social media to be the first to know when we go live.
5. How can I use the deposit?
Once the Snapmaker U1 launches on Kickstarter, we will email the purchase link to the address you used to pay the deposit. Please make sure to use the same email address when placing your order on Kickstarter. After your order is placed and the product ships, we will send you a survey to collect your order details. Following the Kickstarter shipping schedule, we will refund you $100, which includes your initial $30 deposit.
Note:
A) No matter which pricing tier of the Snapmaker U1 you choose, the refund amount will be $100 (including the $30 deposit).
B) All other currencies will be calculated based on the equivalent value of this amount.
6. What are the benefits of paying the deposit?
• Secure priority shipping in the earliest batch, based on your deposit payment time, and after completing the final payment.
• Once your Kickstarter order has shipped, we will send a survey to collect your order information and process your $100 refund (which includes your $30 deposit).
7. Is the deposit refundable?
Yes, your deposit is refundable. If you decide not to move forward with purchasing the Snapmaker U1, you can request a refund at any time by contacting our customer service team at info@snapmaker.com.
8. Is there anything I should pay special attention to when placing the deposit order?
Yes. Please make sure the email address you use to purchase the deposit is the same as the one you will use to back the Snapmaker U1 on Kickstarter.
9. Does the Early Bird price include the cover or hardened steel nozzles?
No. The price applies to the Snapmaker U1 3D printer with four print heads and four rolls of 500g Snapmaker Snapspeed PLA filament. It does not include the cover or hardened steel nozzles. Both will be available as separate add-ons for purchase during the Kickstarter campaign.
10. What add-ons will be available for the U1?
We’ve completed evaluations and confirmed several add-ons will be available during the Kickstarter campaign. These include the cover, hardened steel nozzles, filament packs (with four-roll and eight-roll options), the SnapDryer set (one Dryer Dock and four SnapDryer Boxes), and the PEI steel sheet. We’re also actively exploring more add-ons based on user feedback. Stay tuned!
