As one of lucky people to get Ray early, I have a good chance to run & test it for a while. I ordered 40W & Ray separately, no enclosure (I will share my modification on A350 Enclosure to adapt with Ray later). Here come the unbox of what you will get when arrive! Pro: High end-finish, smooth surface, no sharp edge. Hard to mismatch or wrong installation. Con: Lack of Assembly Instruction as hard copy and some items we have no idea how to use with.

My 2nd project with my Ray, and my first try at using a laser to 3D "carve". The max pocket depth in this image is about 3.3mm. I still need to work out how to differentiate between regions that are dark because they're farther back, and ones that are dark because of shadows (under his nose) or actual darkness in the image (like his stripes). Probably need to start with something a bit less inherently "contrasty". Super-impressed with what this thing can do!

Order filled on the Ray for a School. Acacia Wood. Engravings are tactile and stunning. 24 mins for 4x coasters at a time (could have done a lot more, but did them in small batches for quality control). Box done on the Ray as well - 27 mins for it all.
