El recinto está construido con aleación de aluminio de grado aeronáutico y una lámina acrílica de filtrado de láser. Es súper fácil de montar, ya que las puertas vienen preensambladas. El recinto puede protegerles a usted y a su familia de riesgos potenciales derivados del proceso de grabado/corte por láser. Enclosure for Snapmaker 2.0

Beautiful enclosure, but safety?

The enclosure is gorgeous and the design is very clever, giving you access to the two most important sides of the machine and allowing you to mount wire clips and accessories to the rails. The enclosure is ideal for CNC and 3D printing.

I hesitate to rate more highly because there is NO safety information pertaining to the optical density of the colored acrylic. The software states OD6+ laser glasses should be used in addition to the enclosure when using their 10W laser. The store page states that the enclosure is “laser filtering” but as far as my research goes, it’s use at your own risk for lower power engraving or the 1.6W laser.

OD rated materials are expensive, and I wouldn’t necessarily expect Snapmaker to use them in this enclosure, but Snapmaker is being safety lackadaisical by implying that it’s safe or approved in any capacity for use with lasers. I’d rather they be honest and say it may offer protection, but isn’t rated. Inevitably one of their customers will damage an eye and it’s going to come down to this.

If you’re okay wearing laser filtering glasses when using the laser, this enclosure is ideal. If you’re expecting the enclosure will make safety glasses unnecessary, look elsewhere or build something completely opaque.

A must have for laser

Fits perfectly....not going to lie it was a pain to set up. Follow the directions ...don't stop the screws...use a hand held driver not a screw gun
